Eastern State Penitentiary Chapel

This image was made at the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, built in the 1820’s. It is famous as the first all-solitary confinement prison. It is also famous for having been “home” to Al Capone. The image was made with the Canon 20D with the kit lens. You may notice a streak of blur across the lower center of the image; this is not a capture of ectoplasm from the ghosts that are said to haunt the place, but a smear on the window of the locked door through which I had to take this photo. It makes it a less than perfect image, but I still like it.
