I made this image of our dogwood tree last week after a snow storm blew through. Besides the cool curves of the branches, what I particularly like about this is the way the puffs of snow look like the puffs of flowers the tree produces in the spring.
We came across this scene a couple weekends ago while having a toodle outside of Kutztown, PA. We got out of the car to get some shots in an old graveyard behind a little church on a hillside. That proved to be a painful idea, what with the frigid temperature and the strong winds!
I made this image last weekend at Port Imperial, New Jersey. It was just after sunset, and I was waiting for it to get darker so I could get some nighttime skyline shots of mid-town Manhattan. I have a real thing for repeated shapes, so this really caught my eye. The line of lamps, with their receding sizes, works to draw the viewer’s eye through the beautiful colors of the sunset in the sky.
