Port Imperial, New Jersey

I made this image last weekend at Port Imperial, New Jersey. It was just after sunset, and I was waiting for it to get darker so I could get some nighttime skyline shots of mid-town Manhattan. I have a real thing for repeated shapes, so this really caught my eye.  The line of lamps, with their receding sizes, works to draw the viewer’s eye through the beautiful colors of the sunset in the sky.

This is a cool picture – appropos, because it was cool (and windy) when you took it.
The focus seems pretty good, even though your camera was a little reluctant…

Yes, I was glad to see that. Thanks to you, I won’t have to worry about that any more. New cameras rock!
