I had the pleasure of working with Cassie a few week ago. She has a sweet, gentle spirit that made her a joy to have in my studio! You can see more of my work with people with Down syndrome at The Aiden Project.
This is the amazing Miss Ally. I first met her at the Buddy Walk last fall. She stole my heart immediately! And her family is awesome. They had a huge team at the Walk in support of her; probably close to 20 people. They ranged from elderly grandparents (including one is a wheelchair) to young kids, all sporting pink Tshirts with Ally’s photo on them. Yes, even the guys wore pink to show their love and support for this little sweetie.
I’ll be shooting for a Down syndrome Buddy Walk next week, so took advantage of a rehearsal for the talent show portion of the festivities to get some preliminary shots and work out some lighting issues. These are a few of what I got that day. As an aside, if you aren’t familiar with Buddy Walks, check it out on the Buddy Walk home page. A lot of them happen this time of year, so you might find an upcoming date in your area. If you’re a photographer, consider donating your time to photograph the event. Most of these groups are non-profit and could use the help.
